Thomasville, Mo. – Despite weeklong temperatures exceeding 95 degrees, Thomasville held its Craft Fair and Vendor Market, followed by its Autumn Days on Saturday. As temperatures stretched towards 100, the vendors remained indoors in the gym during the heat of the day.
By evening, the Dawson Hollow band was setting up, and the shade trees were beginning to cool the air. Bystanders relaxed, listening to the music and eating hot food.
Craft Fair and Vendor Market
The craft fair opened for business at 10 am.
 One could stroll through the gym, looking at jams, soaps, jewelry, clothing- even pet bandanas- and other fall decorations. It was a full room with a wide variety of items. Although it was warm, shoppers were inside, out of the sun, with fans swooshing the air.
Autumn Days
The Autumn Days part had Dawson Hollow performing outside.
Many brought their own chairs for evening listening, although hay bales were set out and more sat on the stone wall.
Free water was available. Naturally, the community center sold its delicious ice cream. Food trucks sold hamburgers, hot dogs, and BBQ. The smell told who was present.
Attendees relaxed in the shade and breeze, while licking ice cream and listening to pleasant music.
