Representative Jason Smith helped pass several bills, acts, and resolutions, including measures to acquire funds for rural healthcare.
Recently, the Trump Administration announced more than $45 million in federal investment to upgrade rural Missouri hospitals, connect providers with behavioral and maternal health specialists, and grow the emergency care workforce in rural Missouri. This investment is part of the Rural Health Transformation Program’s (RHTP) historic $50 billion investment in rural healthcare, which Representative Jason Smith authored and fought to include in the Working Families Tax Cuts.

H.R. 4219 Wildlife Refuge System Invasive Species
This bill requires the Department of the Interior to manage and carry out the Invasive Species Strike Team program, which identifies and responds to invasive species on or near National Wildlife Refuge System lands and waters. Smith did vote for it, and it did pass.
H.R. 2140 Diesel Reduction Act
This bill reauthorizes an EPA program that provides grants, rebates, and loans to replace diesel engines or retrofit pollution-control technologies on engines. Smith voted against this, but it did pass.
H.J. Res. 210 Ocean-Going Vessels
This resolution repeals the Biden Administration’s EPA rule that imposes burdensome and unworkable emissions mandates on ships docked in California waters. Smith voted in favor of this, and it did pass.
H.R. 9340 National Fraud Enforcement
This bill would establish a National Fraud Enforcement Division within the Department of Justice to protect taxpayer dollars. Smith voted in favor of this, and it did pass.
H.R. 10326 Proof Act
This bill would require state agencies administering welfare programs such as TANF, SNAP, & Medicaid to provide information and data to the Attorney General, upon request, to support federal fraud investigations and prosecutions. Smith voted in favor of this, and it did pass.
