Starting soon McDonald’s is adding three sweet beginnings to your day. These three bakery items are added to the McCafe menu for the first time in eight years [1]. These delicious treats will surely get your morning routine off to a quick start. Actually, these three items will be available all day at participating locations.

Apple Fritter

A warm apple fritter first thing on a brisk fall morning sets just right next to a warm cup of coffee. This is made with cinnamon and apples. The fritter is then fried and drizzled with a sweet glaze icing. This is similar to the apple pie it already offers.

Blueberry Muffin

Next on the new lineup is a blueberry muffin. This fluffy muffin boasts real blueberries. It comes with a streusel topping.

Cinnamon Roll

Perhaps this takes the place of the delicious cinnamelts that were available pre-pandemic, but McDonald’s has added a cinnamon roll to the morning lineup. This cinnamon roll comes on a buttery pastry dough loaded with layers of cinnamon. All of this is topped with cream cheese icing. This is served warm.

Linda VanGosen, the Vice President, Brand and Menu Strategy, of McDonald’s USA, shared in a press release, [2]

McDonald’s has been famous for our savory breakfast menu for almost fifty years.

Since the McCafe launch in 2009, McDonald’s is adding to the cafe with baked goods besides the frappes and espressos. Circle your calendar for the day these new items are scheduled to be ready for purchase which is Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
