Tim Sparks, president of Daland Corporation, is restoring many of his 80 Pizza Hut franchises across the country to their classic 1990s dine-in style. [1] This move steps away from sterile modern restaurant redesigns featuring self-checkout screens and gray walls.

Classic Features

The restored locations bring back nostalgic touches like red plastic cups, Pac-Man arcade machines, and packed salad bars. Customers will also find giant family booths and Tiffany-style lamps hanging over the tables.

“Some of these restored classic Pizza Huts are now becoming top-performing locations.”

Customer Reaction

The internet is flooding with comments from emotional customers reacting to the changes. One online commenter stated, “This feels more human than modern restaurants.” Another commenter added, “We didn’t realize how good we had it.”

Reports indicate some customers are driving for hours just to eat inside these specific locations.

Rebuilding Connection

Sparks says his mission is bigger than simply selling nostalgia. He wants to rebuild places where families actually sit together. His goal is to encourage people to put their phones down and talk the way they used to.
