Alton, Mo. – Do you want a piece of history? Something to commemorate the 250 years our nation has been in existence? Something to take pride in while helping others? The Sew Blessed Piecemekers have worked together to complete this beautiful 250th anniversary quilt. Whether you are a quilt collector or a history buff, you may want to look twice at this quilt.

What Is This?

This is a 68 “x 86” quilt, hand-sewn by our local Sew Blessed Piecemakers. It commemorates our nation’s founding from 1776 to the present day. Colorful and patriotic in the red, white, and blue scheme, it is an attention grabber.

Cost For A Ticket?

This offer will not last! Each raffle ticket is only $5. You can purchase three tickets for only $10. Tickets can be purchased at any of the showing locations Except for the Alton Public Library. You can also purchase tickets from the members of the Sew Blessed Piecemakers group.

When Will The Drawing Be?

The drawing for this quilt will be at this year’s Walnut Festival, on Saturday, October 3, 2026. The drawing will be at 1:00 pm.

Where Can I See The Quilt?

Right now, the quilt is on display at the Southern Bank in Thayer. After that, it will move to the Community 1st Bank from July 6-17. From there, it goes to ETC. in Kosh until July 31. It moves to Alton, stopping at Alton Bank first between August 3 and 14. After that, it moves down the road to the Southern Bank between August 17 and 28. From there, it moves to the square and the Alton Florist, August 31-September 11. It continues around the square to the Alton Library, September 14-18. Between September 21 and 25, it will be on display at Simpson’s True Value. It ends its tour at S & S Fabric, where it awaits a new owner.

Who Can Purchase A Ticket?

Anyone who has the money can purchase a ticket.

Where Does The Money Go?

All proceeds from the raffle of this quilt will go to the Selah Place.
