Oregon County Farmer’s Market Vendors Speak about Guidelines and Benefits

Alton, Mo. – On July 4, a dedicated group of farmers gathered in Alton, Missouri to sell their produce and handmade items at Tucker Creek. Besides delicious fresh food and produce, baskets, t-shirts and personalized towels were available to customers. Kittens showed up looking for new homes too!

During a break in the shoppers, one of the vendors, Jamie Stephens spoke about the benefits of the farmers market. She also touched on the guidelines of the market for vendors.

Her daughter is learning right along with her and was doing her best to find new homes for her kittens. They even contributed to the conversation.

Gardening Tips

Wes Conrad, a long time strawberry farmer and well-known vendor at the market, offered a few helpful gardening hints for gardeners from all experience levels.

Family Friendly

The Alton Farmer’s Market is family-friendly. The park has long green fields to run in at the opposite end of a playground. The booths are shaded for buyers and a walking trail makes everything easily acceptable for people of all ages.
