Do you have far too many squirrels in your yard? Although squirrels may not be as popular as deer or turkey, squirrels are enjoyable to hunt while filling the dinner table. But how does one begin? The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is hosting an online workshop for those interested.

What Is This?

Squirrel hunters enjoy long hunting seasons, generous bag limits, inexpensive hunting gear, and plenty of places to hunt. It is an excellent activity for new hunters developing their skills or seasoned hunters who just need an excuse to spend more time in the woods.

The MDC is hosting a workshop that will provide a basic understanding of squirrel behavior and biology; review hunting rules and regulations; offer information on locating squirrels; break down useful hunting equipment; and instruct on cleaning and harvesting the animals.
