2020 General Election In Oregon County Missouri— Pivotal Presidential Election

Alton, Mo. – The 2020 general election (which also happens to be a Presidential election year) is taking place on November 3rd, and there are multiple polling places open across the county. Polls opened at 6:00 am this morning at the First Baptist Church on Highway 19 here in Alton, Mo. so voters can cast their ballots to choose candidates running for public office.

The 2020 election year is considered by many to be a pivotal point in national politics. The gap between the parties has widened over the last couple of decades to the point where one political party espouses “Law and Order,” and the other entertains the idea of defunding the police. A gap that is so wide that when the Republican President nominates a Supreme Court justice whose record is that of applying the law, as written, to cases that come before the court and then confirmed by that president’s party, the Democrat leadership says that “The nomination of Amy Coney Barrett is the most illegitimate process I have ever witnessed in the Senate, and her potential confirmation will have dire, dire consequences for the Senate for the Supreme Court and our entire country for generations to come [1]“.
