Here’s the Schedule
As part of their NFL100 celebration, the Kansas City Chiefs are holding a few festivities on the first week of October. One of these activities is the Fantennial 5k, presented by GEHA at Arrowhead Stadium on October 5.
It costs 40 dollars for all ages to participate in the 5k. If you register the day of the race (October 5), the registration fee will be 45 dollars. If you cannot make it to Arrowhead you can do it right where you are, as the Fantennial offers a “virtual 5k” that allows you to run where you are- official Chiefs Fantennial 5K shirt and a race bib will be shipped to you after you register.
The virtual 5k can be completed at any time between September 15 and October 5; the Virtual 5k costs $40 dollars as well.
October 4 is the packet pickup, between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. you can pick up your registration packet at the Founder’s club on the north side of the Arrowhead stadium. Packet pick-up will not be available on the day of the event. Saturday, October 5, the Fantennial FanFest opens, at 8:00 am, the race starts, and at 9:30 a.m. the Super Bowl ticket drawing (which you are automatically entered in when you register for the race) will happen.
Along with the satisfaction of completing the 5k, you get free stuff! Participants will receive a Chiefs Fantennial branded shirt, a race bib, a complimentary drink at the FanFest, and you get entered for a chance to win two Super Bowl tickets. If you stick around, you’ll get an opportunity to meet Chiefs alumni, cheerleaders, and KC Wolf, and you get access to the Fantennial FanFest post-race. To win the Super Bowl tickets, you must be present at the Fantennial 5k when the drawing happens. There will be plenty of FanFest activities that include food and drinks, tailgate games, live music, and photo ops.
