The unofficial start of summer is right around the corner: Memorial Day. With Memorial Day coming up, the Alton and West Plains pools are opening over the weekend.

Alton

The Alton City Pool will be opening on Saturday, May 27, 2023. The hours throughout the summer is Monday through Saturday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. [1]

Cost

Admission is $4.00. For ten swims, the cost is $30. Individual passes are $50; and family passes cost $160. If people would like a pool party, the cost is $100 for two hours. The pool can be rented from Monday through Saturday between 10:00 am to noon and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Swim Lessons

From June 12th through 15th between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. This is for kids between five and eight with the cost being $35. From June 19th through 22nd between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm, there will be a swim session for kids infant to four years. This is also $35. A water aerobics class is also being held for people eighteen and older. The cost is $30 for 10 classes.

West Plains

The  West Plains Aquatic Center is opening on Memorial Day, May 29th. They are open every day between noon and 5:00 pm, except for Thursdays when they are open noon to 8:00 pm. On Thursday, it is one price all day.

Admission

Kids twelve and older cost $6.00. Kids between three and eleven cost $5.00, while kids two and under are free. Their punch pass is for ten admissions for $30.00. The cost to rent one pool is $225, while the cost for both pools are $400. The morning rentals are between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, while evening rentals are between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Swimming

The Aquatic Center will have three swim sessions: June 12-15, June 26-29, and July 17-20. [2] The cost is $40.00 for people three and over.
