Amendment 3 Rally Brought People From All Over

Alton, Mo. – On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, Alton was honored to host a ‘Yes On Amendment 3’ rally. Despite being in the middle of the day and the middle of the week, many residents came out in support and to hear what those in charge in Jefferson City had to say.

The rally did make the point that this is about protecting life as well as protecting our children from transgender surgeries.

The emcee was Hardy Billlington, the House majority whip. This man was very instrumental in getting the then-President Bush to land his helicopter in Poplar Bluff.

Blake Willard led the event in prayer.

Vivek Malek

Malek is our state treasurer. The first item he pointed out after his biography was unclaimed funds. One can go to showmemoney.com to see if they are entitled to any. This is personal and business. He then said how life begins at conception and is a gift from God. He pointed out how the nation is watching us. As Missouri was the first state to ban abortion after the Supreme Court’s ruling, what do the people want, and will they choose accordingly? He said that Missouri needs strong families and strong laws.

Susan Klein

Klein is the executive director for Missouri Right to Life. As we hear the opponents claim that lives will be lost if we do not allow abortion, they are wrong. Amendment 3 allows medical help throughout the pregnancy.

Another issue she brought up was transgender surgeries for minors. Currently, that is outlawed until next year. If this amendment passes, trans surgeries for young people will be against the law permanently. If we vote against Amendment 3, minors will be able to take life-altering, harmful drugs.

Amendment 3 would prohibit abortion drugs from being mailed to Missourians. From Governor Kehoe down through the legislature, most government workers are pro-life. They are against killing an unborn child and causing irreparable damage to the mother.

This was the best turnout the rally sponsors have had thus far. They encourage everyone to get out and vote, and vote Yes on Amendment 3.
