Representative Smith Encourages Locals To Attend U.S. Military Service Academy Day

One of Representative Smith’s jobs is nominating outstanding students from the 8th district to attend one of our U.S. service academies. To learn more about a military academy, they have an information open house that is open to the public. Middle and high school students, parents, and educators who are interested in learning more about how to apply for a congressional nomination to a service academy are invited to attend U.S. Military Service Academy Day on Saturday, September 16, 2023. What Is Happening?

Middle and high school students, parents, and educators are invited to learn about academy life and how to apply for a
congressional nomination to a service academy. Representatives from various military parts will be present, including the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

When Is This?

This happens on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Representatives will attend between 9:30 a.m. and noon. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Mark your calendar now.

Where Is This Happening?

This occurs at Jefferson College at the Fine Arts Theater, 1000 Viking Drive, in Hillsboro, Mo.
