Alton, Mo. – Despite the roaring temperatures, the swap meet on AA in Alton was a success. Similar to the Farmer’s Market, only with animals, the swap meet met early with a variety of animals, food, and equipment.
Animals
The first thing one notices at the swap meet was the animals. There were ducks, chickens, puppies, and goats for sale. Pleasant, happy animals looking for new homes.

Food Items
Next, one notices food, like honey, being sold.
Firearms
Next, several tables were set up in the shade, selling firearms and equipment. One could get a deal on bullets, knives, or a gun. One could also speak with experts who knew what they had and what could work for you.

Future
While Saturday did hit record highs, and it was a holiday weekend, they do plan to continue the swap meets each Saturday, weather permitting, until cold weather comes upon us.
This is a local market that brings together buyers and sellers from across the area. There is ample parking for sellers and buyers.
