Alton, Mo. – The Alton, Missouri, City Council met on Monday, May 12, 2025. This month, they did not have very much to talk about.

During the meeting, there was a time for community input. One person spoke up and left those attending the pondering the question of in what way will the Underground store grow in the future: for good or for bad?
Updates
After community input, there were updates from the various departments. For roads, they are still working on repairing Shipp Circle. For the park update, they only had to replace one pump this year; everything else is working. There were no updates from the fire department. Concerning law enforcement, Alton has hired and sworn in a new police officer.
