How To Celebrate The Special Women In Your Life (AKA, Your Moms)

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day

Amit Kalantri made this statement: “A mother is your first friend, your best friend, your forever friend.” Mothers are there for you in the good times and in the bad times. They are your biggest supporters, even when they may not agree with what you’re doing. When no one else shows up, your mom will. Tomorrow, Sunday, May 11, 2025 is Mother’s Day. To celebrate your mom, here are some ideas to make her feel special.

A Meal

Your mom has more than likely cooked you three meals a day along with a snack for you for eighteen years or more. So on Mother’s Day, instead of her making a meal, you make her a meal and don’t let her do anything except eat the food and enjoy the moment. Or, if you aren’t a cook, go out to eat at a sit-down restaurant.

Gift Basket

Something that your mom would like is a gift basket. When making a basket, consider her hobbies and what she likes. If she likes gardening, get her some seeds, gardening gloves, a pot, a little shovel, and a little watering can. If she likes baking, get her different sizes of cake pans, special chocolate chips, and special sprinkles. If your mom likes self-care, make her a basket that includes special hair conditioners, a face mask, chapstick, and special scrunchies.

Clean House

On Mother’s Day or the day before, go to your mom’s house (unless you’re still living there), and give it good clean. Mop and vacuum the floors. Clean the bathroom. Organize the pantry. Clean the porch. Whenever she wakes up or gets back to the house, she’ll have the nice surprise of a house that she doesn’t have to clean.

A Night Out

If you have moved out of your parent’s house, but are coming back for Mother’s Day, along with your siblings, plan a night out. You can plan something like painting pots together and then going out to dinner. Or you could go and see a concert. Make memories for your mom and with your mom.

A Photo Album

If you are an older teen or an adult, find pictures of yourself and your siblings throughout the years and put them into a photo album. Put into pictures what your mom has accomplished over the years: raising you and your siblings.

The Standard

If you can’t do the aforementioned ideas, you can always do the standard: chocolate and flowers. Get your mom some roses or her favorite flower and get her her favorite chocolate and surprise her.

Although moms may be worried about you concerning everything, they may get on your nerves sometimes, they may push you into something you don’t want, and they may disagree with you, they’re still your mom. They’re still one of the first people you’ll go back to. Moms are such a blessing, so make Mother’s Day special for her. And, for that matter, make every day special for her.
