Pageant

The Mr. and Mrs. Merry Christmas pageant is also the night of the parade. The Christmas tree lighting and the pageant will be on the Courthouse lawn at 4:30 pm. You can read more about it here.

Parade

This year’s parade theme is “Christmas in the Ozarks.” The parade line-up will be at 5:30 pm with the parade starting at 6:00 pm.

The Route

The parade will start at the Alton High School with the line-up. After that, it’ll go past the Alton Motel onto Highway 19. It will go onto Couch Street and circle around the square before finally going past the Burger Palace and to the school. The strobe-free zone is for people who are negatively affected by emergency lights and sirens. The no parking zone is so that the floats can turn that corner coming onto the square.
