Thomasville, Missouri, is once again having its Independence Day celebration and rodeo. This year, it will be on Saturday, July 4, 2026, with gates opening at 5:00 pm.
Times and Location
The festivities will be at the Thomasville Community Center in Thomasville on July 4th. Gates will open at 5:00 pm with concessions opening at 6:00 pm. The rodeo will begin at 7:00 pm with fireworks at dark.
Cost
The cost to go to the festivities and rodeo is $6 per person with kids ages 4 and under being free. [1] Only cash is accepted.
Activities
There will be an ice cream parlor as well as food vendors. The Ozarks Family Rodeo will be hosting the rodeo. They will have barrel racing, pole racing, mutton busting and more! The annual quilt raffle will also be happening. Tickets are $3 each or 2 for $5. [2] Tickets can be bought at the Thomasville Restaurant as well as at the rodeo. The drawing will be held prior to the fireworks.

How do you get there from West plains
From West Plains, take US 160 east about 25 miles to Hwy 99. Turn left or north. Crossing the small bridge puts you in Thomasville. People park all over. The rodeo and fireworks will be a road over on the right side. The rodeo is right next to the community center.
