The Thayer Bobcats went up against the Cabool Bulldogs on September 29, 2023, at the Cabool High School. The Thayer Bobcats improve to 4-2 in the season as they won the game 28-12.
First Half
More exciting action happened in the first half rather than the second half. After the Bobcats failed to get a first down, on the first play of the Bulldogs drive, Cooper Clark (#74 for Bobcats) intercepted the ball. The Bobcats followed that up with their second touchdown in the game, this time from Colt Gonzales (#10 for Bobcats). The score was 14-0.
When the Bobcats got the ball back, the team got their second 85-yard touchdown run. Brandon Prince (#5 for Bobcats) caught the ball for the score. The Bulldogs also got some points on the board before the half. The score at halftime was 28-12 with the Bobcats leading.
Second Half
In the second half, the Bobcats defense came up several times, stopping the Bulldogs on key plays such as 4th and 1. On the last play of the game, Cooper Clark sacked Trey Atkins (#7 for Bulldogs). The Bobcats won 28-12.
