MDC To Host Virtual Event On Milkweed And Monarch Butterflies

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is hosting an in-person and virtual event on July 19, 2025, on milkweed and monarch butterflies. [1]

The Course

The instructor will talk about thirteen different types of milkweed native to Missouri, as well as how to grow them. They will also discuss the relationship between milkweed and monarch butterflies.

Registration

Registration is required for the event, whether you attend in-person or virtually. The class is meant for those 18 and older. To register for the in-person class, go here. For the virtual class, go here.

Time and Location

The class will be on Saturday, July 19, 2025, between 10:00 am and 11:00 am. If attending in-person, it will be at the Burr Oak Woods Conservation Nature Center in Blue Springs
