Alton, Mo. – The general election will be Tuesday, November 3, 2026. However, absentee voting begins September 22, 2026. AltonMo.com encourages all citizens to be informed voters and elect those they believe best represent them. With that in mind, we have a sample ballot for review before voting. Look at the people, the judges, and the issues. The last few years have shown how important election integrity is and how each vote does have an impact.
As this is the General Election, one does not need to state their party affiliations. He can even vote across party lines. Read the ballot here: November 3, 2026 Sample Ballot.
Voting
We will vote on the state auditor, the U.S. Representative, and the state representative.
Locally, we vote for associate circuit judge, presiding commissioner, county clerk, clerk of the circuit court, recorder of deeds, county treasurer, prosecuting attorney, and the collector of revenue.
We will vote on retaining a couple of judges. We will cast our ballot on four amendments or propositions.
