We’re in the last month of the year: December. While it is the last month, the Alton, Missouri, Senior Center is not slacking in putting out their menu and activities for the month. From December 23rd through the end of the month, the senior center will be closed.
Menu
On December 1st, vegetable beef soup, grilled cheese sandwich, quick pickled cucumbers, and indoor smores will be served. On the 6th, meatloaf, creamy mashed potatoes, brown gravy, green beans, buttery biscuit, and a fudge brownie will be dished out. Taco salad with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, refried beans, chips, and Paul Newman cake will be served on December 12th. On the 16th, ham/turkey, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, green bean casserole, roll, and a holiday dessert will be served. Following up on the 22nd, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, white gravy, green beans, biscuit, and cook’s choice will be served.
Activities
On December 1st at 10:30 am, there will be frappes with Whitney. On December 7th, there will be a Christmas party at 10:00 am, but you have to RSVP beforehand. Bingo will be played at noon on the 8th. On December 21st, there will be a prize contest drawing at 11:30 am. An ugly sweater contest will be on December 22nd.
