Alton, Mo. –The Alton Christmas parade took place on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Along with the parade, there were several other Christmas activities going on.
Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas
The Little Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas crowning started off the festivities. The 2025 Little Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas is Emalyn Casey and Cooper Charbauski sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts.
Santa Contest and Caroling
After the crowning, there was a best-decorated Santa contest. There was also a group of carolers who sang on the Courthouse lawn.
Vendors
Starting at 4:00 pm, there were several vendors along the square. Some of the things the vendors were selling were bowls of chili, hot cocoa, apple cider, popcorn, baked goods, knives, wooden items such as cutting boards, and many other items. Court Square Cafe, Alton Florist, Jason’s Mexican Restaurant, and the Alton Drug Store were also open later for Christmas shopping.
Parade
At 6:00 pm, the parade started. The parade lasted around twenty minutes. The Grand Marshall’s for this year’s parade were Brian and Jessica Staack, owners of Bootleggers BBQ. Fire trucks from the various volunteer fire departments participated in the parade. Multiple churches and the 4-H also had floats. Multiple ATV’s and side-by-side’s were also decorated. Numerous pick-up trucks were decorated with lights in the parade.
