Alton and Thayer’s Farmer’s Markets are gearing up for this season. Thayer’s Farmer’s Market opens in April and Alton’s opens in May.
Alton
The Oregon County Farmer’s Market (also known as Alton’s Farmer’s Market) is opening Saturday, May 9, 2026. [1] They will be open from 9:00 am till noon every Saturday until October. The farmer’s market is located at the walking park behind the pool in Alton. If it rains, the market is moved to the pavilion by the pool. If you would like to be a vendor at the market, you can message their Facebook page or go to the first market and talk to the manager.
Thayer
The Thayer Farmer’s Market is opening earlier than Alton’s on Saturday, April 18, 2026. They will be open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm every Saturday until the end of October weather permitting. [2] The market is in the parking lot by Pizza Inn and Dairy Queen in Thayer. If you would like to be a vendor, you can message their Facebook page.
Vendors
Anyone can be a vendor at the farmer’s markets whether you’re selling crocheted items, baked goods, woodcraft’s, homemade stationery, jewelry, soaps, sewn items, or candles. You can sell produce whether you’re a hobby farmer or have a bigger farm.
