Alton Fireworks Brought Locals Together For Our Independence Day

Alton, Mo. –Alton, Missouri, held its annual Independence Day celebration on July 3, 2025, at Piney Creek Park. Locals of all ages came to participate in the activities, watch the fireworks, and celebrate the United States’ independence.

Vendors

Over a dozen vendors were set up around the go-kart track. Some vendors included people selling aprons, pot holders, lemonade, slushies, popcorn, and pork, among other things. A dunk tank was also set up.

Bouncy Houses

Bouncy houses were also set up at the fireworks show. There was one water slide bouncy house and two regular bouncy houses.

Quilt

At 7:00 pm, Sew Blessed Piecemakers presented a quilt to Elvin Bridges, a World War II veteran.

Fireworks

The fireworks began around 9:20 pm. The show lasted around twenty-four minutes.

Poll Questions

The AltonMo.com team polled locals with various history-related questions. The team also gave out goodie bags to the locals. A huge thanks goes to Shelter Insurance, Alton Assembly of God Church, and Riverton Baptist Church for donating items for the goodie bags.
