Thayer, Mo. – It is October. With October comes cooler weather and fall festivals. While Alton had their Annual Black & Gold Walnut Festival last weekend, Thayer is planning their Fall Festival this coming weekend. The 9th Annual Farm Show begins in the morning while the Fall Festival is late afternoon/ early evening.

Farm Show

The 9th Annual Farm Show begins at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 8, 2022. It will run until 2:00 p.m. at Thayer High School. They will have lots of stock and equipment on display. Attendees can enter to win a portable corral from Newberry sales in West Plains. For additional information, you can call 417-778-7561. Use extension 3. This is in Alton, Missouri.

Fall Festival

Following the Farm Show, the Thayer Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Fall Festival. This festival is in the streets of Thayer from 4 pm until 8:30 pm. Vendors will have food, crafts, live music, and more. This year, the chamber has added a pumpkin carving contest. Sign up for the contest at the festival.

You can still rent a booth for the festival. Call Bec Eckman at 417-280-0142. You can also call Lorrie Sandridge at 870-371-2085. Registration forms are on the chamber’s website here. You can also pick up a registration form at K-Kountry 95 and the Gift studios. They are located north of Thayer on Highway 63.

The weather is forecast to be sunny and pleasant. Bring the whole family as you come out and support Thayer with these two fun activities.
