Young, local Carstyn Casey is once again battling cancer. For this year’s Heart of the Ozarks Run, Carstyn is the Mindy’s Run recipient. Individuals can purchase t-shirts throughout the month of February in support of Carstyn and his family.
Carstyn
In 2021, Carstyn Casey, 9, was diagnosed with sarcoma cancer. In a routine check-up in August 2025, it was found out that Carstyn had thyroid cancer. At the beginning of the year, the Casey family also found out that Carstyn has sarcoma cancer again. Carstyn began chemotherapy at the beginning of February. [1]
T-Shirts
The 2026 Mindy’s Run recipient is Carstyn. T-shirts, long sleeve shirts, and crewnecks are available to buy. T-shirts cost $20; long sleeve shirts cost $25; and crewnecks cost $30. Proceeds
