Alton, Mo. – Oregon County Commissioner Jake Parker has reached an agreement with MODOT (Missouri Department of Transportation) and the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC). The goal is to prioritize roadwork in Oregon County, Missouri. Although some of the areas are on a ‘wish list’, other areas are on a ‘ must-do ‘ list.

One notable example residents are curious about is the pink markers along M Highway. Plans to expand the road are underway.

Other Areas

Parker has a list of many roadways and highways that are prioritized for repairs and expansions. Among them are Mo 19, US 160, Highways J, M, F, E, V, and AA. These are all within the Oregon County limits.  In his list are additional state projects the County Commission has recommended for future consideration. One needs to be aware of the construction in our county and plan accordingly.

Goal

His goal is simple: to advocate for safer, more reliable roads and to ensure that Oregon County continues to move forward. Your awareness and involvement make a difference, and they appreciate your continued support as these improvements take shape. We all realize how dangerous some of our roads without shoulders. We will appreciate them when the work is completed.
