After ICE raided a Nebraska meat plant, illegal workers were gone. The news media made pronouncements that the plant would close due to a lack of workers. Soon, many meat-packing plants across the country would follow suit. What will America do without meat? The media expected citizens to rise and protect the illegals. But that was not the case.
Raid
Back in mid-June, ICE continued what it does best by rounding up persons who are in America illegally. This time, it went to the heartland of America. As the previous administration insisted on flying illegal people into our country, especially conservative states, this was not surprising. Oftentimes, conservatives in these states received kickbacks from the government to employ and house these illegals. When ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) arrived at the Glenn Valley Foods plant on June 10, they removed approximately half of the workforce. Dozens of illegal workers were removed and deported on the spot. The media is for illegal immigrants living among U.S. citizens, so they spread the news with worry. However, that is not how the story ends, nor how the media continued the story.
The following Day
The following morning, the waiting room was jam-packed with American citizens, lined up with applications in hand, eager to work. The very jobs we were told no Americans want suddenly became hot commodities the moment the illegals were shown the door. American applicants filed job applications early, hoping to fill the places of illegal immigrants. Prospective employees were lined up shoulder to shoulder for this opportunity. They want to work, take care of their families, and pay their bills. Now they have a chance to, after removing the illegals.
Summary
Immigration enforcement leads to a rush of applicants for those jobs from…American citizens! Enforce the law, and Americans will line up to work. Secure the border, enforce the law, and Americans will fill the jobs they always did before the government sold them out.
