Do you have a pond on your property that you’d like to see healthier? Usable? The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) in West Plains is hosting a workshop discussing pond management.
What Is This?
Do you have questions about building a new pond on your property? Or are there questions about an existing pond on your property? If so, MDCÂ is here for you. The Missouri Department of Conservation will be hosting a Pond Workshop.
The workshop will cover a wide variety of topics, including pond site selection, pond construction, pond stocking, fisheries management, aquatic vegetation management, and pond watershed management. Professionals from MDC will give presentations and will be available to answer questions.

The workshop is on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:30. pm.
Where Is This?
This workshop will be held at MDC’s Ozark Regional Office, 551 Joe Jones Blvd. in West Plains.
Who Can Attend?
This class is open to people of all ages.
Is There A Cost?
This class does not have a fee. It is an in-person class, and registration is required.
