Alton, Mo. – Outback Greenhouse sells a variety of plants, including vegetables, flowers, and greenery. However, time is limited. The final day they are open is Saturday, June 5. Despite cool, wet weather, buy not to beautify your surroundings and grow food.

What?

The Outback Greenhouse grows a variety of items. Pepper plants and tomato plants border the walls. Then there’s cabbage and other vegetables. Alongside these tender plants are flowers. Every color, height, and sun need is out for purchase. Ever blooming to single long blooms grow here.  To fill in spaces is small, or tall, greenery.  If you need help deciding, Ken Tackitt is an encyclopedia of information. Where?

The Outback Greenhouse is located on Highway 160, east of Alton, approximately 7 miles down on the south side of the road. Look for the sign.

When?

The Outback Greenhouse opens at 4:30 in the evenings. Saturday it opens at 8:00 a.m. This allows you time to make your purchase, get home, and plant them in daylight. But hurry! Saturday, June 5 is the last day of the season. Then they close for another year.
