Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is coming to Alton, Mo. poster

A fun pastime for kids, and adults, of all ages is going to the circus. The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is once again coming to Piney Creek Park, in Alton, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.

What Times

The show times will be at 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm. The tent raising will be at 9:30 am.

How Long Will It Be

Each show will last around ninety minutes of fun, entertaining acts. [1]

Tickets

You can get tickets in advance at both the Alton Bank and the Southern Bank. If you get the tickets before the circus begins, they cost $12 for adults and $7 for kids ages 2-12 and for seniors ages 65 and up. If you get the tickets on circus day, they will cost $15 for adults and $8 for kids ages 2-12 and for seniors ages 65 and up. [2] Your tickets from 2020 are still valid, so if you have it lying around somewhere, use it. [3] Children under 2 years old are free.

Where It Will Be

The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus will be held at Piney Creek Park, which is also where Alton’s fireworks are held.

Sponsor

The Alton Fire Department is sponsoring the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus. A portion of the funds will go the the fire department.

Morning Tour

At 9:30 am on the circus day, the public is encouraged to attend, for free, the tent raising. The tent raising includes meeting the animals up close, learn about their routine and care, and get information about the show’s daily operations. If you have a big group such as day cares, elderly care facilities, or schools, feel free to contact them. [4]
