5 Ways To Be Kind And Show Your Thankfulness To Others In November

November is a month to be thankful and to share your thankfulness with others. Sometimes, when we think of thankful, we think of kindness.  Here are five ways to be kind to others and show your thankfulness.

#1 A Card

To your parents, siblings, or friend, write a note to them saying that you’re thankful for them. Don’t be general saying, “I’m really thankful for you,” be more specific and say things like, “I really appreciate your thoughtfulness, your humor, and your laugh.”

#2 Chores

Another way you can show kindness and make another person thankful is by helping them. This can be completed better with an elderly person; offer to rake their yard, or to organize their shed.

#3 Leaf Poster

For the rest of November, cut out leaves on construction paper. Also, get a poster board and some glue and some markers. Every day, write down one thing you’re thankful for on the leaf. Once you’ve done that, glue or tape it onto the poster board. By the end of the month, you can look back and see the different things you were thankful for.

#4 Make Supper

This one can be applied to an elderly person or to your parents. Put together a three-course meal (vegetable/salad, entree, and dessert) for your family or the elderly person. In doing so, it will take stress off of your parents or the elderly person. They will be thankful for your thoughtfulness towards them.

#5 Get-Together

Number five kind of links back to number three. Every day until the end of November, get together with your friends and/or family and make a circle. Go around the circle, and give one thing you’re thankful for about every individual in the group.

While being thankful in November is important, we should be doing it every day year-round. The Almighty God wants to hear from us what we’re thankful for in life.
