Do you want a free chocolate chip cookie or ice cream cone? All you have to do is read some books! The Farmer’s Daughter in Thayer and Court Square Cafe in Alton are teeming up for a “The Book Quest” summer reading challenge. [1]
The Challenge
For kids from 0 to pre-K, they have to have 24 books read to them. For everyone above pre-K, they have to read 12 books. It doesn’t matter your age, whether five, twenty, or sixty, you can do the reading challenge. If the books are on the longer side, every 100 pages counts as a book. The reading challenge started on May 15, 2205, and will run through August 15, 2025.

You can download the sheet tracker here. On the sheet, write in the books you have read and check mark them as you go!
Reward
After you finish reading the books, you can take it to one of two places: the Farmer’s Daughter where you can get one scoop of spring dipper ice cream, or Court Square Cafe where you can get a chocolate chip cookie. The reward will be redeemable until December 31, 2025.
