Night Before The Walnut Festival Brings Several Racers and Onlookers

Alton, Mo. –Tonight was the Alton Chamber of Commerce’s bike race and Run the Town for the Gold 5K and 1 mile run/walks, as well as the classic car cruise-in. Over one hundred people were at the event for the various activities.

Cruise-In

The cruise-in had over twenty cars on the square ranging from pick-ups, to Studebakers, to a jeep, to a Porsche.

Bike Race

The bike race just under twenty participants for the various races. The kids were eager to do another one soon.

Run/Walks

After the bike races came the one mile and 5K races. Over thirty kids, young adults, and adults ran or walked the one mile and 5K.

Music and Bounce Houses

During the races, two locals sang songs on the square. Two bouncy houses were set up at the corner of the square for the kids to enjoy.
