Governor Mike Parson has now been Missouri’s state governor for 100 days, after being sworn in on June 1st. During his first one hundred days in office our new governor has been busy. So far he has signed a state budget and appointed Mike Kehoe as the newest Lieutenant Governor. He also signed the Missouri’s biggest single-year income tax cut. [1] He has helped lead Missouri’s drought efforts and is currently continuing working to do so.

Working for future generations

In the past one hundred days Governor Parson has traveled to all thirty-four senate districts in Missouri. He’s currently focusing on two main things in Missouri. Its workforce and infrastructure. To help advance Missouri he’s working on advancing and building a better foundation for the next generation.

“Business, community, and local leaders across Missouri all agree that we need to rethink how we train our workforce and address our infrastructure needs. Our next generation is counting on us to ensure they have better opportunities to succeed.” Said Governor Parson. [2]

To help the citizens of Missouri Governor Parson wants to give them the tools the need. This includes achieving a good education to get better jobs.

“The jobs of tomorrow are high tech and high skill. Our schools play an important role in preparing our students to enter the workforce. In order to compete on a national level, we must push ourselves to do better,” Governor Parson said. [3]

Although this is a long term goal, in the end Missouri will be more advanced. The next generation will continue to learn and succeed and build something greater.
