S 1596 Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Refuge Act
This act renames the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge near Houston, Texas, as the Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Refuge. The bill honors Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl from Texas who was murdered by illegal immigrants in 2024. It did pass, and Smith voted yes.
