MDC Taking Applications For 2021 Conservation Agent Training Academy

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is taking applications for the next agent training academy in 2021. MDC will be accepting applications during July for up to 16 participants for its 2021 conservation agent training academy, which will begin April 1, 2021. Selected candidates will go through a 26-week program that will train them in all facets of law enforcement and resource management.

Want To Be “A Steward of Conservation?”

Joe Jarek, who published information on the recruitment said, “Those who make the grade will receive county assignments and become the faces of conservation in their assigned communities – educating and enforcing the Wildlife Code of Missouri through a community policing approach, helping the public with issues such as wildlife damage and disease, and providing information for water and land management [1].”

Why Are More Agents Needed?

Missouri outdoors and it’s resources are things the citizens of Missouri just expect to be available. MDC helps Missourians enjoy the outdoors while knowing that our state’s natural benefits are guarded. The MDC is the steward in charge of conservation in Missouri and helps protect nature while helping people.

State forest land provides a variety of environmental benefits, including wildlife habitat, outdoor recreation, watershed protection, scenic beauty, and wood products.
