On Tuesday, the Alton Senior Center celebrated fifty years. The senior center served a cooked-out hotdog/hamburger luncheon.

Funds for the Alton Senior Center were diverted to other necessary departments that had a direct impact with COVID.

The Alton Food Pantry will host a benefit meal on Friday, June 2, 2023, at the Alton Bank between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.

This week, slaughter cows and bulls sold 4.00-6.00 higher. Bred cows sold steady to 50.00 higher and pairs sold 100.00 higher.

Aaron Douglas Shafer was born on Oct. 31, 1989, and passed away at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis, Mo, after a brief battle with cancer.
