Alton, Mo. – Are you an early riser? Do you like to rise with the birds and get things done- especially if they benefit another? Are you going to the Walnut Festival? Why not come out to the Alton Fire Department Pancake breakfast? Besides pancakes, they are having a gun raffle.

Breakfast

The Alton Fire Department is having a pancake breakfast. This happens between 7 and 10 a.m. on the morning of the 38th Annual Black and Gold Walnut Festival here in Alton. The menu includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, milk, coffee, and OJ. Come early to eat, then attend the walnut festival on the square. Vendors do not need to stress about an early breakfast when the fire department is there to help out.

Where Is This?

The breakfast will be at the fire station, next to Harp’s Grocery Store on Highway 160 West.

Cost?

The firemen are taking donations for the meal. All proceeds go to the Alton Fire Department.

Raffle

While you think of a delicious pancake breakfast that you do not have to clean up, think of the fire department and helping them. They are also having a gun raffle. The raffle is for a Ruger 22. Tickets are $1 each, or six tickets for $5. The drawing will be held at the Walnut Festival.

To purchase a ticket before the festival, you can buy one from a fireman or a person in city hall.

The breakfast is a family-friendly event. Bring everyone from the young toddlers to the older grandparents to this delicious pancake breakfast.
