Lane Closures In West Plains- Plan Ahead For Delays

Starting the week of April 18, 2022, MODOT (Missouri Department Of Transportation) will be working on Highway 63 in West Plains. In the vicinity of the Ozarks Medical Center, the highway will have varying lane closures all week long.

Where Is This Happening?

The construction will take place on U.S. Highway 63 near the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. Specifically, the lane closures will happen between 8th Street and Broadway Street on Highway 63 in West Plains, Missouri.

When Is This Taking Place?

This has been an ongoing project. Nonetheless, the week of April 18, 2022, West Plains is scheduled for lane closures in both directions. Weather permitting, the work will take place between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

What Is Happening?

MODOT plans on signalizing an intersection near the hospital. This will provide better access the the new Medical Office Building and the new emergency room. This construction project is designed to relieve congestion surrounding the medical facilities. Various lane closures will take place in order for the road crew to complete their tasks.

Because this is the main road that travels through the city, even large over the road vehicles use this highway. One can expect long delays. When possible, select alternate routes when planning your trips.
