Governor Parson and his wife announced their participation in several bicentennial events. The actual bicentennial date is August 10. However, special events are planned across the state all summer and into the fall.
Bicentennial Tour
Governor Parson and his first lady plan on visiting several historical sites and communities across the state. This happens July and August.As the Governor’s schedule is confirmed, event details will be publicized.
Bicentennial Inaugural Parade
The Governor’s office will host a Bicentennial Inaugural parade in Jefferson City, on Saturday, September 18, 2021. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. This parade will showcase Missouri’s past, present, and future. It will celebrate the swearing in of Missouri’s elected officials. It will also highlight the significance of all 114 counties in Missouri. Governor Parson said,
Our counties, communities, and citizens are what make Missouri the state we know and love [1].

Bicentennial Inaugural Ball
Following the parade is the Bicentennial Inaugural Ball. It will be held to the State Capitol.
