Alton, Mo. –The Alton Public School is getting some upgrades to the school. The upgrades are made possible through a donation from a group of anonymous alumni. The upgrades include a new paint upgrade to the FEMA building, new baseball field lights, and sandblasting and repainting of awnings that cover the sidewalks at the school. [1]

FEMA Building

The FEMA building now has a paint job of the Comet logo, bright blue and gold paint, and Alton written in bold letters across the building. The design was made by Exposure Sign and Marketing in Thayer. The building immediately catches the eye of anyone passing by the school. The paint job took 8 days and 65 gallons of paint. [2]

New Signs

The school also got new signs over the driveway. When you enter the school, the sign says, “Welcome to Comet Country”; and when you leave the school, it says, “You lit up our halls- now go light up the world!” Both signs are in the school colors: blue and gold.
