Rover Turkey Shoot- A Fun Day For Everyone

Rover, Mo. – On Sunday, October 19, 2025, Rover invited the public to a fun-filled day at the Rover Gun Club. This annual event is family-friendly. They sold concessions, raffle tickets, and tickets to various shooting events.

When Was This?

Although this was initially scheduled for Saturday, October 18, severe storms in the forecast urged the gun club to change the Turkey Shoot to Sunday.Trap shoot shattering

What Was Happening?

The Rover Volunteer Fire Department held a Turkey Shoot. They do this every year. Although no live turkeys were injured during the course of the day, some of the competitions included 22’s, a splatter board, a handgun shoot, trap shooting, Annie Oakley, and a high-power rifle range.

They also had a raffle for a Savage semi-automatic 22 stainless steel rifle.target shooting

Was There A Cost?

There was a minimum fee for all those entering competitions. All proceeds went to the fire department. Also, each entry was entered into various door prizes.

Those who wanted to watch did not need to pay an entry fee. Lawn chairs were carried out of the many vehicles parked along the grassy hillside.

While watching the events, one could purchase a variety of hot concession foods, perfect for a chilly, windy day.Rover gun club
