Missouri Farm Bureau Oregon County Meeting Held Here

Alton, Mo. – The Missouri Oregon County Farm Bureau meeting was held on Friday, August 17, 2021, at 6:00 pm at the Alton Multi-purpose Building.

Supper

There was supper there for the attendees. It included roast beef, ham, macaroni and cheese, baked bean, green beans, rolls, drinks, and desserts.

Sagegrass Talk

Agronomy Field Specialist Jamie Gundel spoke on how to get rid of sagegrass. It’s a long process and you shouldn’t expect the sagegrass to disappear overnight.

Electing Officers

At this meeting, they also elected a president, vice president, and secretary/treasurer. Mike Crews, Dale Combs, and Grover Crews, were all re-elected for the positions respectively.

Treasurer’s Report

Grover Crews gave the treasurer’s report. From August 31, 2020-August 31, 2021, the Farm Bureau had sixteen new members.

Door Prizes

They also gave out door prizes including Farm Bureau hats, umbrella, mugs, gift cups, walking sticks, and more!
