A SEMO Workforce and Economic Development Forum, organized by Vinnie Clubb, is being held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Piedmont. This is open to anyone but specifically entrepreneurs and small business owners to hear from the state and region’s top economic leaders.
Date and Location
The workshop will be on Saturday, November 8, 2025. It will start at 11:00 am and will go until 2:00 pm, with doors opening at 10:00 am. [1] The event will be at Eagle Sky of the Ozarks located at 1 Eagle Sky Drive, Piedmont, Mo 63957.
Workshop
The workshop will start off with a forum. The panel will include Lucas Presson, Director of Business Growth and Innovation at SEMO REDI, (who will be moderating the panel); State Senator Jason Bean, State Senator Jamie Burger, Poplar Bluff City Manager Robert Knodell, and Retired Economic Development Strategist Ed Dust. [2] There will also be a Q&A.
Lunch, which is free, will be between noon and 1:00 pm. It will be catered by the staff of Eagles Sky of the Ozarks.
Between 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm, Secretary of State Denny Hoskins will be speaking. To close out the workshop, MU Vice Chancellor for Extension and Engagement Chad Higgins will speak between 1:30-2:00.

Although there is no cost to attend the workshop, registration is required as there is only 100 seats available. You can register at this link.
Who Can Come
Any individual is welcome and encouraged to come whether you live in Piedmont or not. Entrepreneurs and small business owners are especially invited to the workshop.
Parking
Attendees can access Eagle Sky of the Ozarks through the security gate located on Highway 34. Attendees are advised to allow 20 minutes to drive back to the venue location once on the grounds of Eagle Sky. There will be parking for the attendees as well as signage and instructions.
