Rover, Mo. – The Rover Volunteer Fire Department held its annual BBQ and auction fundraiser on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Country Meadows Christian Venue/Event Center behind Faith Tabernacle.

Attendees
At one time, there were over 75 people at the fundraiser. Very few empty seats were available because there were so many people.

Door Prizes
Rover VFD also had door prizes, and everyone who came early enough had a chance to win something.

Food
For the meal, individuals had a choice of chicken, pork, or beef, with sides of green beans, corn, and mashed potatoes.

Lemonade, water, and tea were available to drink. Desserts ranging from brownies to pies to cakes were also available.

Auction
The auction started around 6:45 pm. Cinnamon rolls, butter cake, pecan pie, wreaths, cherry cheesecake, bags of corn, a deer stand seat, scarecrow, hot cocoa set, Fuel Express gift card, several tons of gravel, and several more items were auctioned off. One of the things that were auctioned that was sold for $1100 was a glider by J & S Welding.
