Alton, Mo. – The 2022 Annual Black Gold Walnut Festival in Alton, Mo, will not be handing away free shirts this year. However, those wanting a shirt may pre-order the shirt(s).
In past years, those participating the the ‘Go For The Gold’ runs have received a free t-shirt with pre-registration. However, to keep costs low, the chamber has dismissed the free shirts. Figuring that not as many people would participate in the run if the chamber charged $25 per person, the run price is only $10 and you can purchase the shirt separately.
Can I Buy One?
Yet, the Alton Chamber of Commerce will still sell some shirts at the Walnut Festival. Simply stop by their booth for one. Also, if you want to safeguard your chance of a shirt this year, you can order one online here. The shirts are printed in Thayer and will be brought to Alton at two locations for your pick up. You may pick them up at the Southern Bank or the Alton License Bureau. If you prefer, you may also pick them up at the Alton Chamber booth at the Walnut Festival. The shirts that are pre-ordered will be ready for pickup on Wednesday, September 28, which is before the Walnut Festival.
Cost?
The cost of this year’s shirts is $15.00. They come in small to extra large. The shirt itself is an olive greenish color with an older pickup truck on the front.
