Alton, Mo. – Hooray! The Alton Public Library has a new drop box! After dealing for some time with an ineffective drop box that would not open for librarians nor allow returned items to drop, the library in Alton, Missouri, has a new drop box.
This month, the Alton Public Library reached its endpoint for the drop box. After struggling each time with various tools, the library ordered another drop box. They also taped the old box closed.
The new dropbox has arrived and is now in place. One can once again return items day or night at your convenience. The new box is black and immediately in front of the library on the square. For your convenience, the library is open between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm weekdays. After hours, one can return books and other materials into the box to be checked in the following day.
