Next Homeschooler Get Together In The Park Set For Election Day

New pavilion at the Alton, Missouri, city pool.

More students across Oregon County and the nation are getting homeschooled for various reasons. Often, there are no homeschool groups or meet-ups that these students can go to. In Alton, Missouri, a homeschool get-together has been going on. The next meeting is November 8, 2022, which also happens to be Election Day.

When, Where, Who

The homeschool get-together is every Tuesday between 2:00 and 3:30 pm at Tucker Creek Park and Pavillion. This is available for any homeschooler in the Alton/Oregon County area.

Agenda

The homeschoolers meet up at the pavilion and open up with prayer and an ice breaker. Unless it is raining, they then go down to where the Farmer’s Market is usually held and have a group sport such as soccer, kickball, and volleyball.

Kids

If you are wondering if your kid will fit in based on age, the answer is “yes!” Around forty kids came to the get-together. There were teenagers, middle-schoolers, and toddlers.

Vote

Since the next meeting is on November 8, 2022, which is also Election Day, this is a great opportunity to vote and have fun. Whether you’re registered to vote in Alton or another place in Oregon County, just drive to Tucker Creek Park afterwards and have some fun with other homeschoolers!
