Alton, Mo. – National Scrabble Day is April 13, 2020. While at home and bored, you can grab your Scrabble game and play with your family. You can also play any other board or card game.

Scrabble

Scrabble is a board game that anyone of all ages can play as long as they know how to spell. The goal is to try and spell as many words with as many letters as you can. You can spell big words or little words with the little pieces of wood with letters on them. It gives you spaces to put the letters and is a fun engaging game. You can also practice your spelling and vocabulary with the game. Scrabble takes up time because you’re finding the right word to fit into a word already on the board.

How to Play Scrabble

Scrabble is suggested for two to four people, even though fewer or more people can play too. You can have the words going horizontally or vertically. Each player gets seven tiles and after each round, you grab all the tiles you need to get back to seven tiles. Your tiles are kept in secret so that the other players can’t see what tiles you have. You get points for each round and you get more points if you put your word into two other words already on the board. Whoever has the most points at the end of the game wins, unless they still have tiles left. If the players still have tiles left, they deduct it from the points scored. The person with the highest points wins the game.

What a great way to spend yur quarantine time.
